Cordarone I.V.

Among other things, Cordarone I.V. (amiodarone HCI) is used to treat arrhythmias in children. However, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved this drug for this specific use. The maker of Cordarone I.V. notified healthcare providers in June, 2001, that the drug should not be used in pediatric patients due to growing concerns over the drugs safety with children.
